Medical Background
James Scheffler, known by his clients as James, embarked on his medical journey right after high school. He earned his ARRT registry as a Radiology Tech from Wyandotte General Hospital in Michigan and went on to specialize in Nuclear Medicine, CT scanning, OB, Abdominal, Vascular, and Cardiac Ultrasound. James also holds a bachelor’s degree from Sienna Heights College in Science and Business Administration, along with his ARDMS registry in Ultrasound.
After teaching various courses, including Radiology and Ultrasound Physics Principles at the collegiate level, James accepted a position in Massachusetts with a National Ultrasound school in 1990. He served as the Director of Education and chief instructor for over 12 years, graduating more than 500 students, including physicians and nurses who went on to prestigious facilities like Boston Medical Center, Mayo Clinic, and Thomas Jefferson University. During his tenure at the Ultrasound school, James became involved in assisting the educational needs of PHCs, showing them how to effectively express to young mothers the miracle of life through ultrasound imaging.
Innovative Imaging is Born
During his teaching tenure, James ventured into medical sales and eventually founded Innovative Imaging Technology in 1999. The goal has always been to establish a ministry by educating and financially assisting PHCs in their mission to save God’s precious children.
In 2008, James co-founded the non-profit organization, Ultrasounds for Life, now known as Ultrasounds 4 Life. This organization was formed to assist PHCs nationally and internationally by providing 50-100% off the cost of his training programs and ultrasound systems.
James works exclusively with PHCs, providing for both educational and material needs. After extensive research to find an ultrasound company that did not, and never had, sold their machines to abortion providers, a company was finally found. Esaote Ultrasound, located in Indianapolis, IN, was the obvious choice to work with. Esaote, formerly known as Biosound, is the American counterpart to Esaote in Italy. Esaote manufactures their own machines, ensuring strict quality control methods. Combined with dedicated, trained engineers, the company raises the bar in dedication to their customers, especially the PHCs.
Giving Back
As part of James’s ministry, he volunteers his time to perform live ultrasound scans at fundraising events across the country. The powerful message delivered during his presentations has enabled many donors to see the need to fund one of these lifesaving ultrasound machines for their own local center.
James has made several mission trips, including ones to Zambia and Durban, South Africa, Costa Rica, Mexico, South America, Honduras, and most recently to Indonesia. These trips included the delivery of machines with hands-on training for nurses and physicians to learn how to use the equipment and perform the scans.
